up to ten years ago i found the original "someplace special" LP in someones record box... it said "Mortarhate" on the backcover but looked so untypical... really interesting but very untypical from the artwork, somehow... mysterious..., while listening to it i was blown away by the intensity they had..., classical uk anarcho punk with a more US straight edge hardcore feel innit, quite similar to MINOR THREAT and hell of a powerfull production... to me at this time unheard before and i was in love with it... totally! - this was one of the most unknown but most outstanding bands i heard and one of the most controversal as well as they always had a strong political provoking stance so did they refuse any rules of any "political rulebooks"... you can compare them to early Minor Threat with their strong Straight Edge stance thoughtwise and musicwise but the production is way more powerfull and heavier, snottier and faster..., they toured alot with bands like Conflict thus early Conflict members where active in AYS as well... which isn´t really surprising when you hear this... they sad bit... their singer later joined the british BNP and became a leading nazi activist. very odd innit? or not?! this has everything they recorded, LP and 7" plus compilation tracks and its highly essential stuff here! get this!

Second full lengh CD release with more punk political punk fucking rock kinda a much more serious and consequent version of old mid 80ties CONFLICT... very angry and very indeep and pissed off and simply a great band. Hopefully making it over the canal these time.

I haven´t really enough words to describe this brutal yet twisted attack on my eardrums.
