Restocked! SCATHA from Scotland is the band formed in 1993 by the ashes of Scottish celtic tribal HC band SEDITION and DISAFFECT. Their releases has been deleted & hard to find for a while but finally their discography CD is out here!! Although their activity term was short(1995 to 2005), their music was so influencial, almost globally just like former SEDITION. This CD is their total discography plus 2 unreleased tracks. It must be said SCATHA is less celtic /tribal compared to SEDITION but much simple, metalish with attitude and screaming "FUCK THE SYSTEM", total raging metalish crust HC attack!! Just like DISCHARGE and CHAOS U.K.. SCATHA has created another standard of hardcore, still now active as a new band called "T.R.I.B.E." which we must not miss!!

Haven´t heard it yet... so i trust on Kleisters review bit " Severed Head of State return with nine punishing new tracks. Hard driving riffs and angry vocals give this release a real fist pumping intensity. A lot of the songs are more mid tempo in the tradition of mid period Poison Idea and other hardcore punk bands that took some cues from Motorhead. Severed Head of State have been going for ten years now, but are a band with no geographic center and with all members playing in other bands like Tragedy, World Burns To Death, Warcry, Defiance, Detestation, Signal Lost, Scorched Earth Policy... to name just a few :) - Powerful stuff from a bunch of dedicated people - cool! " . . . well then...CD has the "Charge Ahead " and "Fucking Butchery" 7"s as Bonus tracks.

got those copies by accident and surprise, surprise, contains some very tunefull, good, and energetic ska/punk songs that grap my attention more than once! really recommendet if you like spanish punkrock! their anarchist attitude makes this one even more solid!

Taking Hardcore, Grind, Crust, and Metal and playing them all like they´re the same thing Seattle´s Skarp have crafted a a sonic suicide note that demands to be heard. Adeptly interlaced with samples that set the stage for the ensuing mayhem, Requiem is loosely conceptual, with all fourteen tracks (and an intro) touching on the topic of suicide.

Throughout the record, the band keeps the proceedings fresh and intense, as bulldozing heavy moments crush the listener under the sheer massive weight of the riffs, while haunting, multi-textural riffs complement the raw power with just enough color in the dark musical landscape. Post-nordic Black Metal-isms segue into raw speed-crust seamlessly, creating a musical balance of terror that is as intense as it is effective.

Lyric wise you get a totally pissed writing in a sociopolitical way, against multicoporations, fucked rock stars behaviours within the punk scene and a big pis on the Swedish state of ruling the ones under their whip. Most intense and powerful recording up to date. Recorded september 11:th 2007 at Evil Gril studio Gothenburg by Crille, cover artwork by CrashMange, even looks fucking awesome. More than recomended.

This discography disc includes five pulverizing new tracks (for an unreleased 12" recorded in 2000) plus their self-titled LP and both EPs in their entirety. STATE OF THE UNION played dark, introspective, and despair-driven gloom core in a style that groups them with likes of DYSTOPIA, CHRISTDRIVER, ASBESTODEATH and even some NEUROSIS and GODLESH. Originally formed in Rapid City, South Dakota, STATE OF THE UNION toured the country extensively and were a staple feature of Minneapolis’ underground punk / crust shows during the mid-late 90’s. On the strength of their live performances and their self-released debut EP, they were picked up by Profane Existence Records, who released their Rez-Erection EP in 1995. Shortly after the release of their second EP, the band sought to escape the dead-end scene of Rapid City relocated as a unit to Seattle, Washington. Once settled they went to work recording their first full length release, also released by Profane Existence in 1998. Although the first pressing of 1000 albums sold out in a matter of weeks, it was never repressed due to a three-year hiatus of Profane Existence Records from 1999-2002. The band recorded a second LP, slated for release in 2000, but the project faltered without a label and STATE OF THE UNION disbanded shortly thereafter. While STATE OF THE UNION remain one of the lesser known bands on Profane Existence Records, they have one of the most fiercely loyal following even to this date. Former SOTU members have no dropped out of the scene by any means and play on today in several other Seattle area bands such as SOD HAULER, WORMWOOD, ARID SEA and THE PRIDS. This CD is a long-overdue final testament and contains practically everything they ever recorded and has a total run time is 79:45!

last official release before the long break after 86... this album is more dominated by experimental stuff to pave the way maybe for their later projects like Citizen Fish or before Culture Shock... still punk rock with a lot of good songs such like "Somebodys Mother" but you can spot a huge difference soundwise to their earlier stuff...
