  AGUIRRE - S/t. LP

Alright, here comes the new LP. after an LP and a split LP with HONGO from spain, youīd better be prepared for some new doomy and gloomy stuff here. AGUIRRE take up new songs and just as on their demo they reek of darkness and agony. Itīs so present itīs half painful to listen to it, but thatīs also what draws me in. Itīs like staring down a bottomless abyss of all that is evil, sensing it, as the complete black allows you to see nothing - and liking it. They havenīt changed a whole lot from their previous releases, itīs still the minimalist angst with the lonely guitar tunes alternated with thundering heaviness, as with the whispering and roaring vocals - all executed in a real slow pace. It hurts, and I love the pain. www.myspace.com/aguirrederzorngottes (Alerta Timo)

AKIMBO - Navigating The Bronze. LP

"Big, bulldozer hard rock. The drumming will pummel you into the ground. This reminds me of mid-ī90s Amphetamine Reptile bands and Unsane. Not punk, hardcore, or metal, just heavy. At times they have a groove and even a Southern rock groove. Parts of "Wizard Van Wizard" remind me of AC/DC. "Huge Muscles" is a good title for the 4th track- it starts slow but then kicks in. I wasnīt expecting much from this CD but it beat me into submission!" - Maximumrocknroll

  ALEHAMMER / TYRANT - Split.LP

Alehammer continue with their blend of classic UK crust and Celtic Frost/Hellhammer worshipping, heavy as hell. Makes all the neocrust bands look like scared little children. Featuring Scoot/Extinction of Mankind, Karl/Impulse Manslaughter and Shrew and Shrub/Prophecy of Doom. Tyrant are from Sweden and worship the swiss gods (?!?) staying more on the metal side, death/black the old way influenced by Celtic Frost,Hellhammer, Bathory, Merciless and Discharge. Gatefold cover.

ALLEE DER KOSMONAUTEN - Kino Sojus. LP

Someone said " After years of silence Berlinīs ALLEE DER KOSMONAUTEN deliever their 2nd full-length release "kino sojus". Yet again youīll get an agitated immensity in explosive velocity. Pieces of dark fused hits metallic and post-rock influences in an expansively loud combination of darkness. Male and female vocals trade off hope, despair, condemnation and resistance. An incredible evolution of the band ALLEE DER KOSMONAUTEN. "

ALMAX / MISTKAFER - Split. LP

First recording of this two bands, Almax, is basically "Karnvappen Attack" lineup and "Holocaust In Your Head"īs singer, adding a new guitar player and playing fast crustcore with slightly DISORDER undertone. On the flipside we have "Mistkafer" that is a young all female promising band playing raw crust punk and kicking in quite some ass here. If you get the urge for the Barcelona / Espania Crust-Punk than you probably will discover two really promising bands on this slap o vinyl. Check them out here: ALMAX | MISTKAFER

  ALPINIST - Minus Mensch. LP

After their Demo and their Split LP with Finisterre, this is the third release by this outstanding band from Münster / Germany. These four young people have played countless shows in europe the last two years and should be well known for all those into contemporary melodic HC/Crust. Definetly one of the best bands in this genre coming from germany at the moment. I expeceted a lot from their new recordings, but what they deliver here exceeded all expectations. An almost fourty minutes thunderstorm in 11 acts, paired with a voice of dispair and accompanied by blistering melodies. The LP comes with a Poster. (says: Contraszt)

  AMEBIX - Arise! LP + 7"

Arise! originally came out on LP in 1985 as Virus 46, and was the first U.K. signing by Alternative Tentacles. The album was released as a CD on A.T.U.K. about 10 years later. Arise! + 2 contains the original 9 songs plus 2 songs that were previously never released. (They are 8-track demos)

AMEBIX were far ahead of their time playing slow, grinding, steamrolling, moody, dark, Venom-esque, heavy, punk rock. The Bristol U.K. based band created lengthy doomscapes with political messages sung through lacerated vocals.

They disbanded in the mid-eighties after releasing two singles, an EP and two albums. Many bands, such as Sepultura, Neurosis, and Winter cite them as influences.

This crucial blast of punk, metal, and dreadlocked anarcho-politics is part of the "Alternative Tentacles Records Re-issues of Necessity," series, along with such classic re-releases as The Dicks, "Not So Quiet on the Western Front", BGK, The False Prophets, The Fartz, Los Olvidados, JFA, Drunk Injuns, Free Beer, The Crucifucks, and so many more! This release is now back in print on vinyl as a 12" & a 7"!. Incredible, crucial, and classic!

AMEBIX - No Sanctuary. (The Spiderleg Recordings) LP + 7"

In the wake of Crass, the UK birthed a large scene of anarcho-punk bands such as Subhumans, Rudimentary Peni, Flux Of Pink Indians, and, perhaps the best known of all, Amebix. Their seminal Arise album, originally released by Alternative Tentacles in 1985, remains one of the genreīs ultimate statements, featuring elements of Black Sabbath, Motoerhead, and Venom infused with a healthy dose of early punkīs gutter grime and Crassī confrontational imagery. Amebix became an archetype for the scene, an inspiration to hundreds of bands worldwide including Sepultura (who even had their own album called Arise) and Neurosis, among others. Prior to Arise, Amebix released their early material on Flux Of Pink Indiansī Spiderleg imprint. These recordings came in extremely limited runs, and were bootlegged to death in the ensuing years, while the original master tapes languished in lockdown at Southern Studios. The band finally got their tapes back nearly 25 years later, and now the songs are collected officially for the first time.

No Sanctuary: The Spiderleg Recordings gathers the sought-after cult releases No Sanctuary, Whoīs The Enemy, and Winter. Some of these tunes--such as "Winter" and "No Gods, No Masters"--are undisputed classics in the punk world. Carefully remastered by Jello Biafra and George Horn, these long-worshipped and revered recordings are finally available again from Alternative Tentacles on both CD (in digipak with booklet) and LP with bonus 7-inch. Tons of original artwork was resurrected into a beautifully designed package by long-time Alternative Tentacles collaborator and UK native John Yates.
