SLEEPER CELL - s/t. LP |
|

Havenīt heard it but should be here on Monday. SLEEPER CELL are from Boston / US and play a sort of Bostonian Hardcore Punk meets a huge political influence just kind of The Profits but way more Hardcore than Punk i guess. If itīs sounds like on the MRR Compilation you can expect an Hammer of hands down, furious old school HC-Punk in an overwhelming power.... great band! |

SNIFFING GLUE - We are sniffing glue, fuck you! LP |
|
| |
Fucking crucial, why the hell donīt you own this already? SNIFFING GLUE is one of the best upcoming bands out of germany (with members from THE ITALIAN STALLION and KRAUTBOMBER) - hands down! Youīll get 15 tracks of completely insane hardcore-punk in the best ī80s reagan-era style. The sound is somewhere between those hyped stateside bands (GOVERNMENT WARNING, DIRECT CONTROL etc.), with nods to classic bands of yesterday like CIRCLE JERKS and "My war & damaged" era BLACK FLAG. Incredible lyrics belted out over furious yet catchy songs really put this over the top. Cool trebly guitar attack with some fist-pumping tempos to satisfy all hardcore-heads. Nicely packed in an awesome cover and a huge poster-inlay! |

SOLID DECLINE / RUIDOSA IMMUNDICIA - Split LP. |
|
| |
What a great release is that!!! - Berlinīs SOLID DECLINE team with 14 new harsh and in your face "West-coast" Thrash like onslaughts driven by almost surf like bits here and there... a powerhouse you canīt find else so easely. On the flip we have RUIDOSA IMMUNDICIA, who are from Autria (hence the name) ... more ass kicking hardcore punk, more complex than SD and with a out of rage and wild sounding female vocalist... a blast on each side and a killer release from the long going Thought Crime Records of Berlin. Comes in a solid and well done screenprinted sleeve on heavy cardboard and a pretty unusual artwork. Get this!!! |

|
| |
Available 23rd of February. Second recording from this basque based raging fastcore band. 16 songs (including a DS-13 cover) of furious d-beat crusty HC. Hints to Heresy are unavoidable but the musicīs played with such a raw passion that itīs really a lot of fun to listen to.

SPECTRES - Last Days. LP |

Taking the sound of their first two singles and perfecting it, SPECTRES mixes the dark side of 80s Anarcho Punk and the coldness of early 4AD and Factory Records releases and brings it to their first full-length. 8 tracks. |

STAR FUCKING HIPSTERS - Never Rest in Peace. LP |
|
| |
Available 21th December 2009 - I got this on a faint suspicion it could be interesting hence i do not really like "Leftover Crack" who share members with SFH but this is somehow completely different and much more spiritual and "Real" and inspiring. If you look for something political and musically sophisticated you should check this out. Can imagine they rock the crowd hard when playing in a small basement and as AT give some indeep review: Their 2nd record "Never Rest In Peace" is even crustier than before, combining melodic punk and metal with the token ska tune (featuring Citizen Fish & Subhumans (U.K.) members). Theyīve clearly grown from their first album, 2008īs excellent Fat Wreck Chords release "Until Weīre Dead". "Never Rest In Peace" is the result of a year of star fucking live shows, writing, and off-the-map creativity from central STAR FUCKING HIPSTER Sturg - these tunes showcase his rock-solid songwriting and a sharper edge, with a couple of songs that border on crust-core-style metal.ll |

STRACONY / VIA MEDIA - split LP |
|
| |
thereīs no track list... wich is a bit confusing..., well this one is a split between two polish bands wich are basicly one band as VIA MEDIA came straight after and out of the ashes of STRACONY... except one member itīs the same band. Musically they play a brand of polished CRASS influenced anarcho punk with the typical high pitched guitar leads that became in some way a very unique thing for Stracony... thoughtfull lyrix...issue wise up to date... if you know what i mean... thereīs still bombs hanging over our heads! get this! |

They sound like a perfect mix of renewed 70īties punk like more gruff and rapsy Stiff Little Fingers meets Leatherface... thats far the best thing to discripe whats going on here musicwise. very tunefull with socio political lyrix sometimes direct sometimes poetic... , Down to earth gruff political punk! |

SUBHUMANS - Internal Riot. LP |
|
| |
This new album from the UKīs Subhumans is the first full-length of new songs since they reformed 9 years ago, and a whole 2 decades since their last one [recorded just before they split up, in 86] so itīs been a long time coming! These 13 songs combine the band's trademarks of dynamic punk tunes and socio-political lyrics as effectively as their previous albums, venturing from straight-up rousing punk to slices of Wire-like tension, Ruts-like rolling basslines, and a whole 9 minutes of īNever Ending War Songī. Mixing anger with analysis with wit, songs tackle war, social breakdown, mind-numbing McJobs, sizeism and...mosquitoes!?
Self-released on their own Bluurg Records in time for a full USA tour
starting August 24th.
