Hello there, - First mailorder update for 2012. A bit late again but still busy times here in order of recovering from the dramas of the last year and it's hard to squeeze enough distro time out of my shedule every day. Anyway...theres a hell lot of cool new titles available... scroll down for the news and theres also a ton of restocks on the way. Remember, these titels are not for trade. Also, in case you request a trade with SKULD RELEASES it makes no sense to trade with me separately since SKULD and RUIN NATION share the Wholesale and Mailorder duties, so all titles end up in the mailorder anyway (when available). Also SKULD is authorised to trade with RUIN NATION titles...

I work on a way to distribute more ALTERNATIVE TENTACLES titles DIY, both Mailorder and Wholesale. Stay tuned on that... - thanks for the support in 2011 and let's hope 2012 will bring more brighter events (especially for Ruin Nation) than the last year...

Being around for a mere of 20 years now relentless rocking the squats and underground venues and driving thousands of miles through europe in their rusty tour van; JUGGLING JUGULARS are by far the longest serving (?) Finish Punk Band to date. And the nicest people to imagine. 14 years passed since we worked together and now thanks to JUGJUG and Kämäset Levyt we can present the already 21st release to date and they seem to never run out of ideas and topics nor get even slithly tired. This slap of vinyl contains 9 all new tracks of catchy, melodic anarcho punk that is riddled with dual fe/male vocals and tunes and melodies that merge into a wall of full throttle and straight forward rolling guitars riffs and heavy drumming. It's all too easy to claim and say that this is their best release to date, but i fear it´s simply close to that fact.. Hence i never came close to a more diverse JUG JUG recording yet. 20+ Years going strong and still ungovernable. I only have a limited amount of this record available and its a one time press of 600 copies in total.

The wait was long, but now it´s ready! A dignified follow-up of their first album! An intense Dolp from this dark crust band from Gothenburg. I haven´t really enough words to describe this brutal yet twisted attack on my eardrums. Eight songs in just over 72 minutes(!) of death and blackmetal gloom with a healthy dose of crust punk influences leaving me speechless.
The Double Lp comes in a beautiful gatefold with a foldout insert. CD version is being released in US by Profane Existence and should be available in the next update here as well. If you have the chance to see them on their US-West coast tour go ahead!!

New fullength from Protestera which gives us a new approach to society and it's boundaries. Taking up where Rock n riot left off; raging speed and anger, as fast and aggressive and powerful a-punk could get. 11 songs in total (3 are re-recorded) that show that this band manages to invent themselves over and over again from release to release. The thoughtful lyrix and thoughts are printed in a 36-pages booklet with lot's of graphics.
The title really says it all; 01.05.1886. The date itself is when the Haymarker massacre took place where five anarchists where sentenced to death for throwing a bomb into a crowd of people. All of them where innocent.
Although this was a long time ago, 140 years to be exact, the situation is basicly the same today. If you have an opinion about society that's not really applied in today's society, you still will be sentenced for your thoughts.

Hence the cliché that most of the Bands on Ruin Nation Rec are either way Crust or Anarcho Punk or even Metal... i might surprise with this young 5 piece from Manchester (UK) and their very own brand of Dub/Ska and snotty Anarcho Punk Sound.
“The Autonomads” would fit into a perfect row together with such acts like CITIZEN FISH, INNER TERRESTRIALS and USUAL SUSPECTS... but categories and comparsions aside, this Band stunned me totally with their fresh and amazingly well produced and well written musical output and their ideas and energy that overthrows every slight moment of stagnation... musically you get not too much and not too less of the Dubpunk elements compared with melodic saxophone hints here and there and a full throttle Punkrock doze spreading a very well thought and Eco-based political message. Packed into the backroom of a pub with this lot on the stage gets the dancefloor hot n' sweaty very quickly.

Vinyl contains one extra Track that is not on the CD version (Released 2009 by ANTIKÖRPER) and is a Joint between RUIN NATION, MASS PROD (France) and PUMPKIN RECORDS (UK)

Find words to describe the own record releases without getting too much into a hysteria about how amazing it is? Well... this 7” gives me a fairly hard time coz i think it´s absolutely mind blowing and fantastic!
VICIOUS IRENE are 4 young Ladies hailing from Gothenburg (Sweden), formed in 2001 and busy touring Scandinavia, Europe and even recently the USA with their uniquely blend of shredding Crust meets Grunge(!)
This new 7”, recorded in 2008, is their fifth release to date and delivers a blistering and massive mixture of Punk Rock with some odd early nineties "L7" or “Lunachicks” based Grunge influence , creating a wall of grooves and monster riffs while beating it all into bits and pieces with a harsh and uncompromising (early) Discharge / D-Beat overtone simply made to kick your ass!
Dual Vocals pointing social political message on this 4 Songs EP (CD Version will have one more...) that easily can make you rave with fists in the air and annoying your Neighbors never was such Fun before!

Nine attacks of pure mid nineties eurosquat-crustcore that comes in its raw and angered nature with the filthy grinding metal guitar chords and slashing cymbals and thundering drums going steady forward and forward. Two vocalists vomit their complains and disgust in a dual treatment and i can tell you they are pretty unamused. This nine tracks are a premortal recording put down in 2005 before "Saar", singer of Detritus, died in 2006 and hence the band never released anything, this release might be a memorial and a document and in the age of sterile "neo-crust" it´s about time to bring this back on the map i guess and they fill the gap quite well between early UNHINGED and DISAFFECT... for name dropping purpose if you can´t handle. LP comes with a 16 page booklet and made to play as LOUD AS FÖK!

Upon returning from a European tour late in 2006, Ballast promptly broke up. 3/5th of the band would continue to play together and soon would form PREYING HANDS including new members whose previous efforts included Montreal bands Snake Master, Desperate Living and Last Days. The sound seamlessly blends an odd combination of crust, melodic hardcore and a touch of pop punk. ACTIVE SLAUGHTER are a band that is known for their activism outside of practise rooms and concert halls, so you find their Guitarplayer JJ recently set for big animal rights trial in court. "On the 1st may 2007 police raided 32 addresses around the country and arrested and charged 14 people with conspiracy to blackmail.

What lurks Beneath. CD

If you recognise the name Refuse All, it´s probably because they can lay claim to being one of the busiest bands on the punk circuit. But despite playing every gig, bar mitzvah and wake they can manage, and undergoing some changes in personnel, Refuse All have managed to release "What lurks beneath", their first release with the current line up. What they have also managed to do with this album is to set a clear identity for themselves. The two guitar combination works a treat to give their sound some depth and substance, and new vocalist Kev´s throaty delivery gives the band a violent edge. The lyric sheet doesn´t make cheerful nighttime reading either, a cynical rant at politicians, materialism, apathy and ignorance. Like all the best punk bands, Refuse All don´t have all the answers, but they do ask all the right questions. My favourite tracks on this are "not just a dream", "last winter" (despite the obviously nicked Motorhead riff sorry lads I noticed!), "slow motion suicide" and the brave attempt into new territory on "rise non-believer". If you like your music fast, angry and uncompromising, this is recommended.

These folks come from Gothenburg in lovely Sweden and deliver the goods! The demo (minus 1 song though) that you'll find on this black piece of vinyl hold 4 times thundering death and black metal soaked doom, with hints of crust, as well as atmospheric and epic darkness. The guitars range from devastating heaviness to gloomy acoustic sections, with piercing leads that flash through the darkness every now and then. If you've ever wanted to know exactly how your favourite metal, crust, and doom bands would have sounded like if they were one band this is where you should turn. I won't namedrop anything, just ask you to take me on my word that you really need to check this out if you've been even the slightest intrigued with what's written above. Even though I could drop many influential names, as well as list several of your favourite Swedish crustcore bands in the "members of" department.

Contempt have been kickin´out punk rock tunes since 1984. The band came together out of the ashes of three Wolverhampton based punk bands Vendetta, Seventh Plague and Pulex Irritans and have since gone on to tour all over the UK and in Europe. The bands line-up has changed a lot over the years, but the music remains true and Contempt just refuse to go away......Contempt play mid tempo - fast anarcho punk rock, with political lyrics covering issues such as war, poverty, human rights, animal rights, anti-fascism, anti-racism and anti-capitalism. "Who Needs Diplomacy?" is their new 15 track album.

A pretty Pissed off female vocalist in support of a full throttle soundtrack of powerful drums, guitars in a wide range of variety in songwriting and performing... this band was simply great and i s missed alot ! - Comes in a 8 Panel Cardboard folder. 9 Tracks from both 7"s plus the entire 12 Track Demo on one Disk to keep it available and affordable, so we do them cheap!

An international three piece consisting of members from the US, Germany and England, CROSS STITCHED EYES pays obvious homage to gloomy UK punk bands of yore like RUDIMENTARY PENI and AMEBIX (especially in the vocals) without sounding overly contrived. With a solid foundation of heavy, pounding drums, dark, driving riffage, and an overall evil/scary ambience, the disc also includes some interesting moments of melody, gothicness, weird ocal and guitar effects, and straight-up punk rock (...) Cross Stiched Eyes have very quickly made a name for themselves in the underground crust/punk scene, and with good fucking reason! This CD compiles their raging debut EP "I", unreleased demo tracks and outtakes, and five new crusty ragers sure to bring to mind progenitors Rudimentary Peni and Amebix!!
